Police investigating house blaze on expensive street

The property was derelict and no one was injured, according to the fire service.

Police are treating a fire at a house on one of the most expensive streets in Leeds as arson.

Fire crews were called to the blaze on Sandmoor Drive in Alwoodley just after 19:00 BST on 14 November.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said no one was injured in the fire which destroyed the derelict property.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said an investigation was ongoing and asked anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the period leading up to the fire to contact the force.
