Burton Farm recycling centre in Bishopton will be shut from 10 March

A recycling centre is set to close temporarily for repairs next week.

Burton Farm Recycling Centre, in Bishopton near Stratford-upon-Avon, will be shut from 10 March for up to two weeks.

Warwickshire County Council said reopening dates would be posted on their website and on its Warwickshire Recycles social media pages.

The council added that residents could use recycling sites in Leamington Spa and Wellesbourne in the meantime.

It said people must book to use a household waste recycling centre, and sites were expected to be busier than usual over the coming weekends due to good weather forecasts.

The Burton Farm site will be closed for repairs to its mains water supply, including fixing leaks and improving drainage, to reduce the chance of flooding forcing future closures.
