Firefighters tackle swimming pool fire in Devon

Firefighters have put out a fire at a public swimming pool in Devon.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the fire broke out in the boiler room of the pool at the Golden Coast Holiday Village in Mortehoe on Sunday at about 05:23 BST.

All people were accounted for and crews deemed the fire as an "accidental ignition".

"There was 20% smoke damage to the room, and 80% fire damage to equipment," said the fire service.

Crews from Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, Braunton and Woolacombe attended the blaze.
