Homes plan submitted for former steel workshop
Plans have been submitted to demolish a defunct industrial building and replace it with 47 homes.
Morrow Partnerships has earmarked brownfield land off Station Road, in Thorney near Peterborough, for the development.
The site, once home to Moore Steel Developments Ltd, would have a mixture of maisonettes, two and three-bedroom properties.
Peterborough City Council is yet to determine the application.
Blueprints submitted to the authority showed green space, including a pond, would be factored in to the scheme.
A new road to the west of the proposed site would also be created to link it to Station Road, which is a short distance from the A47.
"The development on the Station Road site will provide an attractive, high quality and well-designed place to live," plans read.
However, the developer said the presence of a telecoms mast created a "unique constraint" when making the build attractive.
