Final homes plan on school site to be decided
Plans for the final 99 homes of a 250-home development in Effingham, which includes a replacement school, are set to be decided.
The homes are due to be built on the site of Howard of Effingham School after it has been relocated to the other side of Lower Road.
A similar application was previously dismissed at appeal. New plans have been adapted to impact less on the nearby Little Bookham Conservation Area and All Saints Church.
Officersecommended the plans to be approved by Guildford Borough Council on Wednesday.
The development was given outline permission for up to 295 homes in 2018.
Plans for the replacement school and 159 homes on the north side of Lower Road was subsequently granted.
Developers Berkeley Homes propose 235 car parking spaces, a play area, a mix of house sizes and one block of apartments for the final phase.
