Khan was jailed after stabbing a man in a pub

A man has been jailed after stabbing another man in the neck during a visit to a pub.

The court heard Amer Khan, 44, from Yeovil, stabbed his victim in the armpit and cut his neck during an incident in a pub on Preston Road on 6 July 2023.

Khan admitted causing grievous bodily harm and was sentenced to 25 months in prison at Taunton Crown Court on 1 April.

The victim required hospital treatment after the attack and was subsequently discharged home to continue his recovery. Khan was arrested the following day and later charged after an investigation.
