Third man charged in alleged car crash murder

Detectives investigating a murder following a fatal crash have charged a third man in connection with their investigation.

Arlind Xhokola, 26, died at the scene near a cycle path off Momples Road in Harlow, shortly after a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on 29 March.

Matthew Arnold, 39, of The Dashes, Harlow, has been charged with perverting the course of justice and robbery, said Essex Police.

Mr Arnold appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on 25 April and was remanded in custody until a further hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on 23 May.

Jeremy Heath, 50, of Ladyshot, Harlow, who has been charged with murder, robbery and possession of a knife in public, remains in custody until a further hearing on 2 June.

Joe Jones, 37, of no fixed address, has been charged with robbery, perverting the course of justice and possession of a knife in public and also remains in custody until a hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on 2 May.

A 50-year-old man, from Harlow, arrested on suspicion of murder and robbery, remains on bail while inquiries continue.
