Major road closed after serious crash

A major road has been closed after a serious crash, police have said.

It happened on the A417 Brockworth bypass at about 15:35 BST and involved a single vehicle.

The bypass between the M5 exit for junction 11A and A38 Barnwood Roundabout has been shut while emergency services attend, Gloucestershire Constabulary said.

Officers expect the closure will remain in place for several hours and have advised motorists to plan their route in advance and avoid the area.

Officers have called for witnesses and those with dashcam footage to come forward.
