Weekend sailings at risk due to Storm Bert
BBCGale force winds are likely to affect ferry services between the Isle of Man and the north of England during the next few days.
A yellow weather warning predicts wind speeds of up to 70mph (112 km/h) between 05:00 and 15:00 GMT on Saturday.
Storm Bert is also expected to bring heavy rain, with up to two inches (5cm) possible during that same time period, prompting fears of localised flooding where drains are blocked.
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company warned all sailings between Douglas, Heysham and Liverpool were subject to cancellation or delay from 19:45 on Friday until 02:15 on Tuesday.
Final decisions about each sailing will be made and announced in due course.
On the island, the strong winds are expected to cause difficult driving conditions, with forecasters warning of possible damage to trees and buildings.
