Rail lines are blocked after a train hit an obstruction on the line.

Great Western Railway said the obstruction was on the line at Pilning, in South Gloucestershire.

Services between Cardiff Central and Bristol Temple Meads may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected until the end of the day, the operator said.
