Paraglider rescued after getting stuck in tree

A paraglider has been rescued after his wing got stuck in a tree.
Police officers from Ottery St Mary and Exmouth responded to the incident after an experienced paraglider was caught by a gust of wind.
In a post on Facebook, police confirmed that the man, who had taken off from White Cross on East Hill Strips, was trapped about 30m (98ft) from the ground in a tree.
Officers supported Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service in recovering the man who was stuck for 90 minutes.
South West Ambulance Hazardous Area Rescue Team were also in attendance.
Insp Mat Helm said: "It must have been very harrowing for the paraglider however he hung on in there and some great work by the fire service got him down safely."
