Owl dumped and 'left to die' in bin released
A tawny owl found dumped in a bin has been released back into woodland after a wildlife charity helped it back to health.
The owl was starving, severely dehydrated and had a fractured wing when he was found by a passer-by near Ringwood, Hampshire.
He was taken to a nearby vets "dripping in smelly bin waste", according to Wildlife Rescue - Moyles Court, where he ended up.
The wildlife charity said the owl had been "left to die" in the bin.

After having his fractured wing repaired at the charity's hospital, the owl was given specialist treatment, nursing and rehabilitation.
Once strong and able to fly, the owl - which is about the size of a pigeon - was released by the wildlife charity into the woodland where he had been found.
