Police plea as man, 78, dies after being hit by car
Police investigating the death of a man who was hit by a car have issued an appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.
The 78-year-old pedestrian died in hospital on Saturday, after being struck by the car in Congleton, on Wednesday 20 November.
He was hit by a red Kia Ceed on Mill Street, near Ableworld, at about 11:45 GMT, Cheshire Police said.
The force said the driver of the car was uninjured and no arrests have been made.
Det Con Nicola Rimmer, of the serious collision investigation unit, said: "As part of our investigation we are keen to speak to the occupants of a blue Toyota Hilux which was driving on Mill Street at the time of the incident.
"The vehicle travelled from Mountbatten Way onto Mill Street and the occupants may be able to assist with our enquiries."
Officers from the unit are urging anyone else with information to get in touch with them.
