Pair admits killing teenager in crash

Two men have admitted causing the death of a teenager and seriously injuring two others in a car crash.

Jack Stabler, 17, was killed when a Vauxhall Corsa smashed into a Skoda Fabia on the B1249 near Driffield, East Yorkshire, in the early hours of 11 June 2022.

Two others were left seriously injured following the crash at about 01:40 BST.

Joshua Walker, 20, of Middle Street, Kilham, and Ty Pettinger, also 20, of Main Street, Bainton, both pleaded guilty at Hull Crown Court earlier to causing death by dangerous driving and two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The pair have been released on bail until Thursday when they are due to be sentenced at the same court.
