Nine drug gang members sentenced

Nine members of a drug gang with an estimated turnover of between £2,500 and £4,000 per day, from selling heroin, cocaine and cannabis, have been sentenced.
Three of them received prison sentences for conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs, with one of the trio also convicted of wounding.
Nine individuals were sentenced on 11 March at Sheffield Crown Court, following a "lengthy investigation" by South Yorkshire Police which began in 2019.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: "Illegal drugs have a devastating impact on communities, bringing misery to vulnerable people and contributing to other forms of criminality."
From May to July 2019, a series of warrants was executed in the Broomhall area of the city which led to the seizure of class A drugs, drug paraphernalia and mobile phones used in connection with the supply of drugs, officers said.
Fuad Hassan, 31, of Broom Walk, was jailed for four years and eight months for conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs, possession with intent to supply class A drugs and wounding.
Mohamed Warsame, 38, of Hanover Square, was jailed for three years and six months for conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs.
Liban Mohammed, 30, of Ellesmere Road, was sentenced in his absence to two years and nine months for conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs.
Det Con Matt Price said: "Our investigation into these offenders disrupted the organised supply of drugs in Sheffield.
"Those sentenced have all had a part to play in bringing fear, terror and crime to the streets of Sheffield and South Yorkshire, and I am glad that they have now been brought to justice."
'Devastating impact'
Six other gang members were given non-custodial sentences.
Barkhad Dobiro, 24, of Upperthorpe, Sheffield, was jailed for one year and eight month, suspended for two years, for conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs.
Ahmed Farah, 23, of Atlantic Crescent, Sheffield, received a one year and seven month sentence, suspended for two years, for conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs.
Warfa Ibrahim, 27, of Donovan Road, Sheffield, received a one year and seven month sentence, suspended for two years, for conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs.
Wayis Ibrahim, 26, of Dorset Street, Sheffield, received an 18-month community order, and was ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work, for conspiracy to supply class B drugs
Aniyah Muneer, 39, of Donovan Road, Sheffield, was given a 12-month community order, and ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid work, for allowing her premises to be used for the supply of class A and class B drugs
Abdi Warsama, 30, of Brookhill, Sheffield was given a 12-month community order, and ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work, for being concerned in the supply of class B drugs.
Two further men, aged 34 and 37, are awaiting trial for conspiracy to supply class A and class B drugs.
