Van driver seriously injured in A30 tractor crash

A man has been seriously injured in a crash involving a van and a tractor on the A30 in Cornwall.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the collision between a grey Ford Tourneo van and a tractor with a trailer took place on the eastbound carriageway at Tolvaddon at about 20:40 GMT on Monday.

They said the male van driver "sustained serious injuries" and was taken to hospital in Plymouth.

National Highways advised drivers the carriageway remained closed on Tuesday morning while police investigated the incident and recovered the vehicles.

The agency said a diversion was in place but advised drivers to avoid the area by delaying journeys where possible.

Police have asked witnesses and drivers with dashcam footage to come forward.
