Man admits murdering care worker
A 32-year-old man is facing life imprisonment after admitting murdering a care worker in Gloucester.
Zanele Sibanda, 28, was stabbed to death in the early hours of 27 August in Tredworth on the junction of Paul Street and Tarrington Road.
Tanaka Zivania, 32, appeared at Bristol Crown Court via video link from prison on Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to her murder and possession of a blade in public.
Zivania, of Dora Walk, Tredworth, will be sentenced on 14 January at the same court.
Following her death, Ms Sibanda’s friends and colleagues held a vigil for her at the scene of the attack.
Her colleague Sendy Chikanya told the BBC she "always had a smile on her face".
"She would call me every single time to ask me 'Are you okay?', and that's how we used to cope with work."
