Eleven-year-old Zachary is one of 60 children competing in the final round of a competition in hope of winning a scholarship with racing company X Kart.
The scholarship provides mentorship and professional karts to set children up for a successful racing career, which Zachary, from Ombersley in Worcestershire, said would "mean a lot".
"I need to be fast but I know I'm good, I feel excited and a little bit shaky, but I feel ready for it," he said.
Karting is a "scaled down circuit racing" sport where karts go wheel-to-wheel, competing to be the first to reach the chequered flag, Motorsport UK said.
Zachary started his karting journey with indoor racing before progressing to the outdoors.
Preparation includes listening to Whatever It Takes by the Imagine Dragons and training for four months in the gym so he can be full of motivation when the day of his races arrive.
His shelf is lined full of trophies and medals after winning many awards in karting races, including junior and cadet championships.
"Here goes all, I’m ready for {the race} and here’s hoping I can win it on Monday as I’m going to give it everything I’ve got, wish me luck," he added.
