Pedestrian taken to hospital after 'serious' crash involving a bus

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital ollowing a "serious" collision involving a bus in Glengormley, County Antrim.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service said it received a 999 call at about 16:30 BST on Wednesday regarding the incident.

Rapid Response Paramedics, two emergency crews and an ambulance officer to the incident with the Charity Air Ambulance also tasked to the scene.

Following assessment and initial treatment, one patient was taken by ambulance to Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Roads had been closed for a time in the Antrim Road area but they have since reopened

A Translink spokesperson said they were "assisting the PSNI with their investigation" into the incident on Wednesday.
