Police investigating sexual assault at bus stop

Officers are appealing for information about the incident in Ipswich

Officers are investigating reports a woman was sexually assaulted at a bus stop.

The woman in her 30s reported being approached by a man at about 04:00 GMT on Sunday in Nacton Road, Ipswich, before he sexually assaulted her at a bus stop near Clapgate Lane.

Suffolk Police is appealing for anyone with information or who may have dashcam, doorbell camera or CCTV footage to contact them.

There will be an increased police presence in the area, the force added.

Det Insp Brett Harris said: "We understand the concern this incident will raise but we want to reassure the public that we are investigating all lines of inquiry to ensure we can find those responsible."
