A key roundabout on a West Yorkshire motorway junction was forced to shut due to a burst water main.

The Chain Bar roundabout, at junction 26 of the M62 near Bradford, flooded earlier this afternoon, causing traffic disruption.

Yorkshire Water teams isolated the main and pumped surface water away at the roundabout, which also connects traffic with the M606.

The firm confirmed the roundabout had partially reopened at about 16:00 BST, with work continuing to remove remaining water from the inside lane.

In an update at 17:00, National Highways said the M62 exit slip remained closed in both directions.

It warned of delays of approximately 15 minutes for westbound traffic.
