Attempted murder arrests after boy stabbed in face

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the face.
Thames Valley Police is investigating a serious assault in Fry's Hill Park, Blackbird Leys on Tuesday 25 March.
A force spokesperson said it related to an incident at about 19:00 GMT when the teenager sustained serious injuries and another 16-year-old boy was assaulted.
Police said two men from Oxford had been arrested and officers were supporting the victims of the "nasty assault".
In a statement, police said an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, two counts of assault by beating, actual bodily harm and possession with intent to supply of Class A drugs.
A 19-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, two counts of assault by beating and actual bodily harm. Both men remain in custody.
The force added the 15-year-old boy had since been discharged from hospital, while the 16-year-old did not require hospital treatment.
Det Insp George Atkinson said: "I know that this incident caused concern in the community, but I would again like to reassure people that we are making good progress in this investigation.
"I would again urge anybody who has any information or believes that they witnessed this incident to please contact Thames Valley Police."
