Road reopens following six-vehicle crash

A busy road has been reopened following a collision involving six vehicles.

Norfolk Police had closed the A47 westbound carriageway between the A146 for Norwich and the A140 for Dunston at about 07:30 GMT.

The East of England Ambulance Service said six people had been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further care.

National Highways said on X the road had reopened and while there were still long delays, they should now start to ease.

The East of England Ambulance Service said it was called to Arminghall at 07:32 and sent five ambulances, two ambulance officer vehicles, one rapid response vehicle and a community first responder to the scene.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service also attended and said it helped release occupants trapped in vehicles involved in the crash.
