Fire crews were called to the recycling centre on Hunters Lane just after 14:00 GMT

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze in an industrial skip in Rugby after a large plume of smoke was spotted.

Crews were called to reports of a fire at the recycling centre on Hunters Lane just after 14:00 GMT, Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

A spokesperson for waste management at Warwickshire County Council confirmed that the fire had since been put out.

They added that no injuries had been reported.
