A man has been arrested in Thailand after an investigation into the wholesale supply of cocaine across the south-east of England.

Essex Police said a 28-year-old from Wickford was detained in Phuket on Sunday after a "years-long" inquiry by the force into a suspected drug supply network.

It was focussed on the supply and sale of Class A and Class B substances between July 2021 and May 2022.

The man was taken into custody and will now face extradition proceedings.
