Arrest after man dies in Twickenham stabbing

A man has died after being found with stab wounds in south-west London.

Paramedics and police were called to Ellerman Avenue in Twickenham at about 23:40 BST on Saturday and found the injured man.

Despite receiving first aid, the man died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed of his death, the Metropolitan Police said.

Police arrested a 47-year-old man at the scene on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody at a south London police station.
