Women seriously injured in Elgin incident

A man and a teenager have been arrested after two women were seriously injured in an incident in Elgin on Monday morning.

Police were called to the Manbeen Place area at about 11:50 following a report of concern for a person.

Emergency services attended and the women, aged 39 and 33, were taken to hospital for treatment.

A 38-year-old man and a 17-year-old male were arrested in connection with the incident.

Police Scotland said officers remained in the area, but the force added that there was not believed to be any threat to the wider public.
