Award win for historic castle's education team
An award has been given to the team that looks after school visits at a historic Jersey castle.
Jersey Heritage said it had received a Sandford Award in the Heritage Education category for the education work done at Mont Orgueil in Gorey.
Sandford Awards are given out by the Heritage Education Trust and Bishop Grosseteste University to recognise sites across the British isles that provide heritage learning which supports education curriculums.
Jon Brennan, Jersey Heritage’s head of education, said the award was an "wonderful acknowledgement" of the work done by the team who look after school visits at the castle.
