Boy, 9, in hospital after being hit by car

A nine-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car.
Leicestershire Police was called to Shakespeare Drive, at the junction with Hathaway Avenue in Braunstone Town, just before 15:15 GMT on Wednesday.
The boy, a pedestrian, was taken to hospital, where he is continuing to receive treatment for serious injuries. The driver of a blue Renault Clio, a man in his 50s, was not injured.
The force said no arrests were made.
PC Suki Sahota, from Leicestershire Police's serious collision investigation unit (SCIU), said: "While officers spoke to a number of people at the scene, I'd like anyone who captured the incident on a dashcam but has not yet contacted police to come forward.
"I'd also like to speak to anyone who saw what happened but has not yet provided an account. Anything you're able to tell or show us could help our investigation."
