Police arrested two men after the stabbing in the city centre

Two men have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Birmingham city centre.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital in a serious condition following the attack on Exeter Street shortly after 03:00 GMT.

The suspects, aged 19 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in custody for questioning, West Midlands Police said.

The force has appealed for anyone with information about the stabbing to get in touch by calling 101.
