Trio back in court over fatal golf course crash

Three men charged with manslaughter over a woman's death following a crash on a golf course have again appeared in court.
John McDonald, 51, of Bloxwich, Walsall; Johnny McDonald, 22, of Dudley; and Brett Delaney, 34, of Darlaston, Walsall, appeared at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Wednesday via video link.
Mother-of-three Suzanne Cherry, 62, from Aldridge, Walsall, died on 15 April, four days after she was struck at Aston Wood Golf Club - on the border of Sutton Coldfield and Staffordshire - by a van that had been involved in a police pursuit.
The accused spoke only to confirm their names before the case was adjourned for a further hearing at Stafford Crown Court, with a provisional trial date set for 22 September.

John McDonald is also charged with assault by beating and failing to stop a vehicle when directed by a constable.
Judge Michael Chambers KC told the men: "Your case is being adjourned, the next hearing will be on 23 May when there will be a plea and trial preparation hearing.
"You will be asked if you plead guilty or not guilty to these charges. You have an absolute right to trial.
"In the meantime, you must remain in custody."
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash, and the involvement of the force in pursuit of the van, West Midlands Police.
On Sunday, Ms Cherry's husband said losing her had left "an unfillable void" in the lives of her family and friends.
He added "the life of my beautiful wife and our future together was snatched away in an instant".
