Man arrested after firearms incident on Tiree

A 44-year-old man has been arrested and charged following an incident involving firearms on Tiree.

Police received a report of a disturbance at a property on the island in the Inner Hebrides around 09:40 on Sunday.

It is understood firearms officers went to the scene from the mainland as a precaution.

The man is due to appear at Oban Sheriff Court in connection with the incident.
