'Mental Elf' runners wanted for festive dash
Hundreds of people dressed as elves are expected to take part in a festive run on Sunday.
The third annual Mental Elf event, which raises money for the Hull and East Yorkshire branch of mental health charity Mind, takes place at East Park in Hull at 10:30 GMT.
Marie-Louise Robinson, the charity's community fundraiser, said the run was a "celebration of community, wellbeing and Christmas cheer".
She added: "It's the ideal way to embrace the holiday season while supporting those struggling with their mental health in the local community.”
Participants can run, jog or walk the 5km (3.1 miles) course at their own pace. Dressing up is encouraged.
Anyone who would like to sign up can do so here.
Hull and East Yorkshire Mind provides support, guidance and hope to individuals and families experiencing poor mental health across Hull, East Yorkshire and North East Lincolnshire.
