A number of roads have been closed following a collision near a major junction.

Essex Police said the A130 at Rettendon Turnpike was shut, along with nearby links to the A132 and B1012, just outside South Woodham Ferrers.

The force warned that emergency services remained at the scene and investigation work could take "several hours".

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
