A man has been arrested following reports a woman was sexually assaulted in a Plymouth car park.

Devon and Cornwall Police said it received a call at about 09:45 BST on Friday saying a man had approached a woman in a parked vehicle at Devil's Point and sexually assaulted her.

On Tuesday, the force said a 31-year-old man from Plymouth had been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

Police said an appeal for information remained in place and anyone who witnessed the incident should contact officers or Crimestoppers.
