Man charged with murder after woman's 2023 death

A man has been charged with murdering a woman in Bradford almost two years after her death.

Rizwana Kauser, who was 42, died in hospital two days after being found unconscious at an address in Kensington Street on 15 August 2023.

Detectives launched a murder investigation after inquiries suggested there were suspicious circumstances surrounding her death, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said.

Abdul Sami, 22, of Mannheim Road, Bradford, has since been arrested, charged and remanded in custody to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court later.
