Murder trial for woman over ex-partner's stabbing

A mother accused of murdering her former partner will go on trial in September.
Stephanie McLaggan, 38, of North Warren Road, Gainsborough, has denied stabbing 44-year-old Gillian Connelly.
Ms Connelly was found with serious injuries in Wheeldon Street, Gainsborough in the early hours of 28 July 2024 and died later in hospital.
Judge James House KC, sitting at Lincoln Crown Court, adjourned the case for a trial beginning at the same court on 29 September.
The trial was due to take place on 20 January but was pushed back because Ms McLaggan had recently given birth.
A pre-trial hearing is listed at Lincoln Crown Court on 24 July.
The trial is expected to last two weeks.
