A Nottingham park and ride site will stay closed over the weekend, it has been confirmed.

Queens Drive was closed "for safety reasons" due to flooding on 6 January, with cold weather then preventing equipment checks being carried out.

Transport Nottingham said they would be carried out once the ice had melted.

But it revealed on Friday that "more time" is needed before the site can reopen, with a review planned for Monday.

A spokesperson said: "Power is mostly restored but a few issues remain with buildings still damp in places.

"More time is needed to ensure the power remains stable and to allow testing over the next few days."

During the closure people are asked to use park and ride bus services from Nottingham Racecourse in Colwick, and tram sites at Clifton, Toton Lane, The Forest, Hucknall, Moor Bridge, Phoenix Park and Wilkinson Street.

The CT4N Medilink service will run between Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital, via Wilkinson Street.
