Tram operator announces fare increases
Commuters in Nottingham will pay more for tram tickets from next month after a price rise was confirmed.
Nottingham Express Transit (NET) said an adult single journey ticket will increase from £3.20 to £3.30 on 1 July, with a day adult ticket rising from £5.30 to £5.40.
Weekly adult tickets are set to increase by 50p to £23.50, with group off-peak tickets going up by the same amount to £9.
Group peak and short hop tickets will remain at the same tariff.
Andrew Conroy, chief operating officer at NET, said the rises "follow the ongoing external pressures we face as a result of the current economic landscape, high energy costs and inflation".
“It’s never an easy decision to increase our fares, but we’re always looking for ways to provide as much value as possible for our customers," he added.
