Nightclub bouncer denies 'predatory' rape
A nightclub bouncer has denied raping a woman close to a popular central London venue.
Morenikeji Adewole, 47, is accused of carrying out the attack near Heaven nightclub in Charing Cross in the early hours of 1 November.
Mr Adewole, of Dunlop Close, Dartford, appeared at Southwark Crown Court where he denied the charge. He was remanded in custody and his trial will begin next year.
Judge Justin Cole commented that the alleged assault was "said to be a predatory rape".
The Metropolitan Police previously said that staff allegedly ignored the woman's efforts to report the incident.
Heaven, which has operated for more than 40 years, was closed on public safety grounds by Westminster City Council after the alleged attack.
It has since been allowed to reopen under strict conditions.
