Manx Care said the medical gas cylinders would be re-used for other patients

People who have medical oxygen cylinders that are not in use have been urged to contact the Isle of Man's health care provider to return them.

Manx Care said it aimed to collect as many of the cylinders as possible so they could be "re-used by patients who need them".

Those who have the items have been asked to contact the oxygen team so that the equipment could be collected by the Department of Infrastructure.

A spokeswoman said anyone returning the items would not be asked to explain where they had come from or be charged in a bid to make it "as easy as possible".

The cylinders could also be dropped off at the western, eastern or northern civic amenity sites, which will have designated areas for them, she added said.
