Holiday park apology over gas supply problem

Guests at a holiday park were left with no heating or hot water because of a gas supply issue - as overnight temperatures dropped to -2C (28F).
Searles Holiday Park in Hunstanton, Norfolk, apologised for the outage which affected guests across the site on Monday night.
One holiday maker described her accommodation as "rather cold" during the outage - but praised the park for laying on a free breakfast and hot drinks the following morning.
The park's owners are investigating what caused the interruption in gas supply.

Charlie White and her family are staying at Searles over the school half term break and realised there was an issue when they returned to their lodge at 21:30 GMT.
"It was rather cold. We all got snuggled up in bed," she said. "[The next] morning we got an update and it said you can use your electric fires but I needed to know that last night.
"We're not going to let it ruin our holiday" she added.
There are more than 800 static homes, lodges and cabins across the site, but the number of affected guests is unknown.

Searles issued a statement via a spokesperson for the British Holiday and Home Parks Association.
It said: "Searles Leisure Resort is pleased to confirm that the supply of gas to holiday homes on the park has now been resolved.
"We have apologised to our customers and owners for the inconvenience caused and have launched an immediate investigation involving our gas suppliers into how this situation arose.
"Holiday homes on the park do provide an electric fire for heating the main living areas, but we regret that the gas boiler was not able to provide subsidiary heating and hot water during the outage.
"The wellbeing and safety of our customers is always our top priority."
Searles did not comment on reports on social media that the outage was a recurrence of a fault which affected guests over the New Year.
