Recycling plant fire treated as arson
A fire at a scrap metal recycling plant is being treated as arson by police.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at R. Davies Metals & Sons on Oak Lane in Kingswinford, Dudley, just after 23:10 GMT on Sunday. No-one was injured.
The company said in a Facebook post that "inhumane, moral-less people" had carried out a "targeted arson attack".
West Midlands Police said the incident was being investigated as arson and urged anyone with information to contact the force.
The company added the fire involved a newly-installed piece of machinery which had been a big investment for it.
West Midlands Fire Service said 50 firefighters worked to tackle the blaze.
Crews arrived at the site just after 23:10 GMT on Sunday and firefighters were on site until Monday afternoon to put out the fire completely.
