A 34-year-old man has died after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a wall in Bradford.

West Yorkshire Police said the incident happened just before 01:00 GMT at the junction of Moorhead Lane and Beechwood Grove in Shipley.

The force said a blue Renault Captur, which had been travelling north-east in the direction of Saltaire, collided with a wall.

The man was given emergency treatment, but was pronounced dead the scene a short time later and the road has remained closed this morning.

No other vehicles are thought to have been involved in the collision.

Police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or seen the vehicle being driven in the area beforehand, to contact them.
