Car driver dies after van collision
A woman has died after the car she was driving was involved in a crash with a van near the border between South and West Yorkshire.
The collision happened on the Haigh roundabout, close to Junction 38 of the M1, at about 11:00 BST on Friday, South Yorkshire Police said.
The woman, in her 50s, was taken to hospital but died later, according to a force spokesperson.
The van's driver, a 29-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit and causing death by dangerous driving and had since been released on bail, they added.
The police spokesperson said the woman's family had been informed and was being supported by officers.
