An inquest has been opened into the death of a man who fell from the third-floor window of a hotel last month.

Oliver Marmon, 33, was at the Hind Hotel in Wellingborough in Northamptonshire on 12 August and died at the scene.

Mr Marmon, from Rushden and originally from Bedfordshire, was due to marry former Union J singer Jaymi Hensley later this month.

At the inquest in Northampton, the assistant coroner for Northamptonshire, Hassan Shah, stated the provisional cause of death as "head injuries pending further tests" and adjourned the hearing until next year.

Mr Marmon was originally from Flitwick.

A murder investigation was initially opened following the incident, but detectives soon concluded their inquiries and said they were no longer treating it as suspicious.

The coroner confirmed that his family had identified his body with police and it had been released.

Mr Marmon's family has paid tribute, describing him as a "spiritual, gentle soul" who was "beautiful both inside and out".

The inquest has been adjourned until 12 March.
