Workers at a wildlife reserve in Kent said they felt "incredibly angry" after its visitor centre was burgled for the second time this year.

The doors of the Jeffery Harrison Visitor Centre in Sevenoaks were smashed by thieves sometime between Tuesday night and when it opened on Wednesday morning.

The burglary, which is being investigated by Kent Police, caused about £1,500 of damage and a till containing £100 in cash was stolen.

Manager James Davis said: "It's just an incredibly frustrating situation, makes us all, as a team, incredibly angry."

Police have gathered forensic evidence and appealed for information.

Kent Wildlife Trust will repair the damage to the visitor centre.

"Incidents like this are costly," said Mr Davis.

"The centre is a hub... it is a valuable asset for local people and sadly they have had their visits disrupted whilst we carry out repairs."
