Power has returned to nearly 400 homes after a factory fire caused an outage in Birmingham.

Fifteen fire engines were sent to the single-storey building on Warwick Road, Sparkhill, at about 07:15 BST on Sunday.

Crews remain at the scene and were present throughout the night as the fire affected up to 75% of the factory.

West Midlands Fire Service said a section of Warwick Road would remain closed for the safety of firefighters.

The service stated that the cause of the fire was believed to be accidental at this stage but subject to further investigation.
