Deal leisure centre plans go on public display
Redevelopment plans for a Kent leisure centre have been put on public display.
Dover District Council approved the £19m plan in July after the scheme, originally proposed in 2018, was disrupted by the pandemic.
It will see a new five-lane pool installed at Tides Leisure Centre, along with health and fitness stations, toning tables and spin studios.
There are information boards at Tides, with a number of drop in events taking place.
These are being held at Tides on Saturday between 11:00 and 14:00 BST, and on 2 October from 10:00 to 13:00.
There will also be events in Deal Market on 5 October, Deal High Street on 8 and 14 October and at Dover Leisure Centre on 10 October.
Feedback can be given at these events or online here.
Council leader Kevin Mills said: “We are working hard to make the new leisure centre deliverable in what has been a difficult financial climate, and to listen to what people want for the future.
"We look forward to taking this next step in providing modern facilities for residents and visitors.”
