Motorbike crash closes A30 near Penzance

The A30 near Penzance has been closed after a serious accident involving a motorbike.

One person was seriously injured in the accident which happened in Eastern Green at 02:35 GMT, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

Police said road closures were likely to remain in place for some time.

The A30 is closed in both directions between the Branwell Lane roundabout and the Jelbert Way/Morrisons roundabout, also known as the Chy-An-Mor roundabout, whilst investigations continue, according to the AA.

It said there was also traffic congestion at the Newtown roundabout and Jelbert Way approaching the Chy An Mor roundabout.
